Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. Her other roles comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in films and TV shows. In 1992 Anna got her first major character in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. The early 90s were when she appeared as a regular guest on TV and in films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Martha Bullock, a character she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood were also part of her acting career. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn was in the role of the character Numbered Days in a four part audio podcast that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's life.
