Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She is the one who initiated research in modern science on children's memories of eyewitnesses, as well as the application of child witnesses when in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received numerous awards and grants. She has been consulted by numerous government agencies and governments across the globe regarding policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional associations such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as the head of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
